lyrics

You’ve been resting in my arms for I don’t know how long.
Has it been days or weeks or months or years since it all went wrong?
All the memories of this morning are slow to be restored.
In the thunderstorm of last night we were cast overboard.

We are lost at sea, blown by changing winds
We drift aimlessly out of sight of shore
Baby, there’s no hope on the horizon
I guess that we just might never be found

Waves brush against the sides of our makeshift raft
The sound it makes reminds me of when you laugh
We wrap ourselves around a prayer struggling for the words to say
Is there something else we could have done? Is it supposed to end this way?

I didn’t see this coming until it was too late
Now what choice do we have but to accept our fate?
We are waiting for the sunrise to pour across the waves
I stare into the depths of your eyes and slowly drift away

I guess that we just might never be found
I guess it’d be all right if we’re never found
